A warm and friendly welcome awaits visitors at The Old Inn & Restaurant, which is famous for its delicious home-cooked food, including its legendary Moorland Mixed Grills and very popular all-day Sunday Carvery with a selection of 4 freshly cooked meats, and daily-changing Specials Board of over 25 different freshly-prepared dishes. And the good news is that where possible, everything is made from only the very best, fresh local Cornish produce.

With its cosy dog friendly bars, huge roaring log fires and sloping beamed ceilings, The Old Inn & Restaurant is Cornwall’s highest Inn and is situated in the moorland village of St Breward, best known for its granite quarries, breathtaking views, rich history and roaming ponies. A favoured resting place for the many travellers who’ve crossed the remote landscape of Bodmin Moor over the years, The Old Inn dates back to the 11th Century when it provided shelter for the monks who built the neighbouring church. In more recent times, workers from the local quarries have gathered here after a day’s toil providing granite for such famous landmarks as the Eddystone Lighthouse, Tower Bridge and Princess Diana’s Memorial Fountain. A proper Cornish welcome remains, and visitors will feel at home in the comfortable, cosy bars or enjoy the attentive and first rate service in the attractive & spacious Restaurant.
